Baby Botox (Microtox)

How Does It Work?
Baby Botox dermatology treatment works in the same manner as traditional Botox. It aims at achieving more natural-appearing results. Botox consists of botulinum toxin type A. It works to block the nerve signals that make muscles contract.
Toxins injected into the muscles partially paralyze the muscles. This minimizes the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles since the muscles don’t trigger formation of creases. Botox can be used for adding volume to certain facial areas, such as the lips.
Baby Botox makes use of the exact same science. The only thing different in these injectables is the amount of Botox used. Baby Botox uses smaller, more frequent doses, which provides for dramatic results with less effects on the face. Botox is not as noticeable in Microtox procedures. Procedure for Baby Botox
Your treatment provider will discuss your aesthetic goals before the procedure. They will let you know the amount of Botox they are going to use. This is because more can always be added later, but it is impossible to remove Botox once injected.
These are the steps involved in Microtox procedure:
- Arrive at the treatment provider’s office makeup-free. Use a cleanser on your face before the doctor begins the procedure.
- You will be seated comfortably in a sterilized environment. The treatment provider may apply a topical local anesthetic at the injection site to minimize discomfort.
- Agreed-upon Botox will then be injected by the doctor in the targeted areas of the face. The process doesn’t take more than a few minutes.
- You should be able to resume all your chores the same day once you are done with the doctor’s appointment.
